Waterfronts NL is a group of Dutch companies with expertise in waterfront design, marina development, engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, and supplies. Founded in 2011, our group of consultants share a common vision about creating beautiful, sustainable, and resilient waterfronts, and we value the sharing of ideas and working together towards solutions. We have worked together using an integrated approach on dozens of international and Dutch projects.

Holland Yachting & Marina Development Group
WA Yachting Consultants had already been successfully working internationally with each of the partners in Waterfronts NL. In 2004, WA Yachting Consultants and DHV Group (now Royal Haskoning DHV) joined forces to tackle the Chinese yachting market and founded the Holland Yachting & Marina Development Group. Depending on the needs of each project, the Group would bring on other key players and combine their expertise to develop high quality yachting networks, marinas, and waterfronts. Over the years, a growing number of exciting projects were successfully completed, resulting in a combined portfolio that enabled the group to assist in and manage all phases of development in yachting, marina and waterfront projects. Since 2004 the Group has hosted booths at boat shows in Shanghai, Dalian, and Qingdao in the People's Republic of China. Upon special request of the Chinese Yachting Industry Association, presentations were given in 2005, 2006 and 2007 on yachting development in China during the China International Boat Show in Shanghai, the Qingdao Boat Show and the Dalian Yachting Forum. There is no doubt that the Holland Yachting & Marina Development Group have made a substantial contribution to the awareness of yachting opportunities in China.

International experience
WA Yachting Consultants is continuously expanding its activities abroad. Together with Royal HaskoningDHV, we researched yachting development opportunities in Singapore and Malaysia. In 2007, we joined the Dubai Boat Show with our partners EIN Quality Development and Royal HaskoningDHV, resulting in a large new yachting development project in the United Arab Emirates. In 2008, we developed an architectural concept for a marina in Saint Petersburg with Crate Architects, and studied Yachting and River Cruise opportunities in Flanders, Belgium. In 2012 we analysed marina development opportunities in Montenegro and in 2014 performed a feasibility study for new waterfront development in Walvis Bay, Namibia. Also in 2014 we created a short and long term development plan for the optimisation of the entire existing yachting industry chain in Xiamen, all together with Royal HaskoningDHV. In 2015, WA Yachting Consultants was commissioned by an international investor to conduct an analysis for redeveloping an existing marina, as well as the development of a second, new marina, both in Greece. In 2022 we assessed the yachting and marine tourism opportunities of Jeju Island, South Korea.
